The Mississippi Department of Archives and History is offering research stipends of up to $3,500 to a researcher to fund their travel to Jackson and accommodations for five consecutive nights to allow for five days of research at MDAH. The selected applicant will schedule the fellowship to take place for five consecutive days in the months of September through November 2025. The stipend may be used to cover travel, accommodations, and other expenses accrued during the researcher’s time at MDAH.

- Recipient must be 18 years of age or older.
- Research must be conducted on the applicant’s own family.
- Family ties to Mississippi must be documented.
- Recipient must identify specific items/collections in our building that they plan to use during their time at MDAH.
