Welty Wednesdays

Join the Eudora Welty House & Garden (EWHG) for Welty Wednesdays beginning Wednesday, January 8. In honor of 1119 Pinehurst Street's 100-year anniversary, free admission will be offered every Wednesday, in addition to the long-standing tradition of free admission on the 13th of each month honoring Welty’s April 13 birthday.

History Is Lunch: Ted Atkinson, "Developing a Cultural Region: Mississippi in/and the TVA"

At noon on Wednesday, December 3, author Ted Atkinson will present Monumental Designs: Infrastructure and the Culture of the Tennessee Valley Authority as part of the History Is Lunch series. Atkinson, associate professor at Mississippi State University, will explore representations of the power and influence of the TVA in books, film and art from the New Deal era to the present.

Christmas by Candlelight Tour

Join us for the annual Christmas By Candlelight Tour on Friday, December 5, at 4 p.m. Use our free shuttles to take a holiday-themed tour of the Mississippi State Capitol, Mississippi Governor’s Mansion, Old Capitol Museum, and the Two Mississippi Museums.
