State Fair Free Day

Enjoy free admission to the Two Mississippi Museums on Saturday, October 11, during the Mississippi State Fair. This special day, sponsored by City of Jackson Mayor John Horhn in commemoration of America250, is the perfect opportunity to explore the stories that shaped our state and nation.

Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt
October 11, 2025, 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Join a monthlong scavenger hunt in the Eudora Welty House & Garden. Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to go on a Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt throughout the month of October. Visitors can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet from the Little Free Library.

America250 Airstream
October 11, 2025, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Come share your story for the America250 Airstream on October 11, from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Two Mississippi Museums. A walk-up kiosk will be stationed in the lobby for visitors to share their story with the community, engage with interactive displays, and reflect on Mississippi’s role in the nation’s history to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
