At noon Wednesday, October 29, the History Is Lunch series will feature a special preview of The American Revolution: A film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. This forty-five-minute preview of the six-part, twelve-hour documentary presents the story of the men and women of the revolutionary generation, their fight for independence, and the birth of the United States. Following the screening, Nancy Carpenter, development director for Mississippi’s America250 programming, will discuss the state’s plans to celebrate America250. This program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums and will also stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel.
