History Is Lunch: Hinds Community College Wind Ensemble, "America250 Performance"

At noon on Wednesday, April 1, the Hinds Community College Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Joseph Earp, will present a special concert as part of the History Is Lunch series. The program will begin with a brief reflection on America’s past 250 years, followed by the wind ensemble performing iconic works related to the nation’s history, and will conclude with the premiere of AMERICA 250, written by Earp. This free event will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson and will stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel. This 86-minute documentary journeys through an antebellum tourist destination at a crossroads as it grapples with a deeply troubled history.
