History Is Lunch: Dan Davis in conversation with Jonathan Lee, “Mississippi Burning: Neshoba County and the Killen Case”

At noon on Wednesday, June 17, Dan Davis, founder of Southern Research Group, in conversation with Jonathan Lee, chair of the Foundation for Mississippi History, will discuss the behind-the-scenes efforts in the Neshoba County community to solve the Mississippi Burning case as part of the History Is Lunch series. The Philadelphia Coalition publicly called for authorities to reopen the case and prosecute Edgar Ray Killen for the 1964 murders of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner, leading to Killen’s indictment and eventual conviction. This free event will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums and will stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel.
