History Is Lunch: Brittany Myburgh, "Art as Archive: The History and Legacy of the Jackson State University Art Collection."

At noon on Wednesday, January 21, art historian Dr. Brittany Myburgh will highlight the permanent collection at Jackson State University’s Art Department as part of the History Is Lunch series. The collection traces the history of the department and reflects the university’s role in fostering cultural engagement. This program will take place in the Craig H. Welty Wednesdays

Join the Eudora Welty House & Garden (EWHG) for Welty Wednesdays beginning Wednesday, January 8. In honor of 1119 Pinehurst Street's 100-year anniversary, free admission will be offered every Wednesday, in addition to the long-standing tradition of free admission on the 13th of each month honoring Welty’s April 13 birthday.

Free Sundays at the Two Mississippi Museums

November 30, 2025, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Admission to the Two Mississippi Museums is free every Sunday. This includes admission to the Hurricane Katrina: Mississippi Remembers, Photographs by Melody Golding on display through November 7. HORNE, a Ridgeland-based professional services firm, is the title sponsor of the exhibit.

Possum Ridge Exhibit Opening

December 2, 2025, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

The annual Possum Ridge model train exhibit will open at the Two Mississippi Museums on December 2.
