Ghosts in the Garden Storytime

Join the Eudora Welty House & Garden for Ghosts in the Garden Storytime at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, on the side porch.  Welty House is partnering with Dalton Knight from the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science to feature an afternoon of not-so-spooky stories focused on bugs. Visitors are encouraged to wear costumes and can win a special prize at the gift shop with completed forms from the Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt! Fall Break Camp
October 10, 2025, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

This session takes place on October 6-10 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Pete Spiro Classroom at the Two Mississippi Museums. Students will create works of art, writing, music, and storytelling that reflect their own experiences and celebrate their unique Mississippi stories.

State Fair Free Day

Enjoy free admission to the Two Mississippi Museums on Friday, October 10, during the Mississippi State Fair. This special day, sponsored by Nancy and Ray Neilsen in commemoration of America250, is the perfect opportunity to explore the stories that shaped our state and nation.

Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt
October 10, 2025, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join a monthlong scavenger hunt in the Eudora Welty House & Garden. Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to go on a Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt throughout the month of October. Visitors can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet from the Little Free Library.
