Advocacy and Information
Council of State Archivists
The Council of State Archivists is a national organization made up of directors of the principal archival agencies in each state. By articulating and advocating the significance of historical records, promoting sound archival practices, and providing leadership to local historical records programs, CoSA works to ensure that our nation’s historical records are valued, preserved, and widely used.
CoSA’s website offers a wealth of information about the management and preservation of historical materials, particularly government records.
