The Eudora Welty House Photo Tour

Eudora Welty donated her home and nearly all of her books and letters to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History in 1986 through a living estate. The Eudora Welty House was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2004. Welty wished for her home to honor her parents and inspire the creative endeavors of others; she did not want her home to become a shrine. As such, the home has been restored to reflect a period during the mid-1980s when Welty was still traveling, writing and entertaining company in the House.
