The Eudora Welty House and Garden (EWHG) consists of the Welty House, the "garden rooms" that surround the House, and the Education and Visitors Center (EVC) located immediately west of the Welty home at 1109 Pinehurst Street.
Tours of the Eudora Welty House are given Tuesday - Friday, four times a day at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. and 9 and 11 a.m. the second Saturday of each month. Please click here for more information on reserving a tour and admission fees.
The EVC is free and open to the public Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month. All tours begin in the EVC which houses our gift shop, permanent and temporary exhibits, orientation film room, rest rooms and staff offices. Visitors are welcome to visit the EVC, watch the orientation film and stroll through the garden at no charge.
