A joint project between the Louisiana Archaeological Conservancy, Louisiana Division of Archaeology and the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History – this traveling exhibit examines the role of fortification building by the Natchez Indians, with particular emphasis on the fort that they created near Sicily Island, LA after their departure from the east bank of the Mississippi River.
