Manship Garden Day
Saturday, April 29, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Manship House Museum. Manship Garden Day. All are invited for an afternoon of gardening and presentations.
At 11 a.m., Donna Beliech, general horticulturist at the Rankin County Mississippi State University Extension office, will speak about herbs that grow best in Mississippi, what to use them for, and how to store fresh herbs for future use.
At noon, Bob Brzuszek, Mississippi State University professor of landscape architecture, along with students, will present a plan for enhancing the grounds of the Manship House museum. From noon until 2 p.m., visitors can speak with experts about common issues Mississippi gardeners encounter.
Other garden specialists will advise visitors on cooking with herbs, making a garden sundial, and planting heirloom seeds. Rivers Greenhouse and Garden will provide plants for purchase. For more information call 601-361-4724 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
