Thursday, January 18, 5–7:30 p.m. at the Eudora Welty House and Garden. Fannye Cook, Mississippi’s Pioneering Conservationist. Editors Marion Barnwell and Libby Hartfield will discuss the life and work of Fannye Cook. Guests can visit the rooms in the Welty House that Cook occupied for over 20 years between the early 1930s and 1955. Then, Cathy Shropshire will perform an abridged version of her interpretative program on Fannye Cook. Book signing starts at 5 p.m. followed by the presentation and reception.
