Families are invited to listen to (not too scary) ghost tales, related to local story tellers, while gathered around a blazing bonfire. Families should bring a blanket, flashlight, and bag. Free. Saturday-Sunday, November 11-12, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., battle at 2 p.m. at Historic Jefferson College. Wirt Adams Raid Natchez Civil War Reenactment. Reenactors from around the South gather to recreate Wirt Adams’s raid into Natchez. The public is welcome to attend and watch as “Yankees” and “Rebels” reenact the battle in the “bowl.” There will be plenty of cannons and black-powder muskets firing, cavalry galloping and infantry advancing!
