Technical Details

Original Scans: The original scans of the Journal of the Proceedings with the Choctaw Nation were made in January 2017, according to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Board of Trustees' approved imaging procedures, following ANSI/AIIM recommended practice. The pages were scanned as uncompressed, 24-bit RGB TIFF files at 600 pixels per inch. Blank pages (30-43) were not scanned.

Conversion: For Web display, the original scans of the journal were converted to Zoomify JPEG files.

Suggested Bibliographic Citation

MDAH suggests that citations for images from the Web-enabled version of the Journal of the Proceedings with the Choctaw Nation include the following elements: collection name, unique image no., agency name, date of last Web page revision, <Image URL> (date viewed).

The Journal of the Proceedings with the Choctaw Nation is in the public domain and therefore free of copyright or other use restrictions. MDAH asks that each image used in a presentation, display, or publication be accompanied by the following credit statement:
