Image Arrangement and Numbering

The photographic curator arranged the materials in the Randy Randazzo Collection into series and numbered the materials within each series in the order in which they were received from Mr. Randazzo.

Technical Details

Digital Photographs: The original scans of the Randy Randazzo Collection were made by the Reformatting Section staff in 2015-2018, according to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Board of Trustees' approved imaging procedures, following ANSI/AIIM recommended practice. The postcards were scanned as uncompressed, 24-bit RGB TIFF files at 600 pixels per inch. The negatives were scanned as uncompressed, 8-bit Grayscale TIFF files enlarged to roughly 3500 x 5500 pixels. Duplicates were not scanned.

Conversion: The Electronic Archives staff converted the TIFF files to Zoomify JPEG tile sets for Internet access in 2016-2019.
