Annual Report

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency was established on May 9, 1980, to succeed the Mississippi Civil Defense Council as the statewide agency charged with preserving the lives and properties of Mississippi citizens in the face of natural, technological, or manmade disasters. MEMA's annual report (July–June) describes the agency's disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation programs with the state’s 82 counties, local governments and the Choctaw Nation. The Department of Archives and History has an electronic (PDF) report from 2005-2008 and reports from 2013-.
